The weather forecast was good, so we decided on an impromptu visit to one of our favourite places in the world, Bodnant Gardens near Conway. Needless to say, it was as beautiful as it always is. Quiet (apart from one yappy little dog in a pram), and a place to just be. It’s not really a thin place in the religious sense, but certainly somewhere to revive one’s spirits at a time when the news seems to be uniformly bad. All this and the sun shone until we got back to the car, then it rained!
