I Borrowed Grandad’s Blog

As my mummy and daddy were away on Friday night, I was staying with my Nana and Grandad.

As Grandad and I had breakfast on Saturday morning, I could tell something was wrong. Grandad was chunnering and wasn’t his normal happy self. He kept on muttering about someone called Nigel, who seemed to have done something very bad, but he wasn’t very precise about what.

Almost as bad, apparently, were two other people with really funny names, Keir and Kemi. One seemed to be trying to make friends with Nigel, and the other one must have been driving cos Grandad said he was “veering too far to the right!” in a VERY loud voice. I think that this made Grandad almost as annoyed as Nigel had.

Briefly, Grandad went to the sports page. I peeped over his shoulder, and he was reading something about a nice smiley man with no hair. This article made Grandad smile, so I asked him who the smiley man was and he said it was Arne (another funny name).

Grandad then left the sports pages and he got very annoyed again and started muttering about something that sounded a bit like a breakfast cereal…….. Breksit?

Eventually, I plucked up the courage to ask Grandad what was making him so annoyed, but then Grandad exploded and Nana came and took me away to do some colouring.

Adults are really weird sometimes, so I thought I would try to cheer him up by giving him a helping hand.

I wonder if Grandad will let me do his blog thingy again sometime?
