The Joy of Sport 2

So after a lovely Saturday, Sunday was something of a disappointment. My wonderful football team played in a rather less than wonderful fashion to lose the Carabao Cup Final to a, frankly, bang average Newcastle Utd 2-1. If Liverpool had been playing someone half way decent they would have got hammered! The players of the Brazil team of the 1970’s must be horrified to see those 2 Brazilian yobs in Newcastle’s midfield, and I can only assume that Kieran Trippier learnt all those falling on the ground tricks at Atletico Madrid. An awful performance from the boys in red.

As well as this my big grandson Nick was in A&E on Sunday afternoon after rolling his ankle while doing Karate. He subsequently discovered he has damaged the ligaments in his ankle, something he’s done before in his other leg. We are all hoping he recovers sufficiently for his grading next Sunday. Needless to say, he’s a bit pissed offt

But, as my mother used to say, “Worse things happen at sea!”………… strange, cos she hated boats of any description.
