Trump and Dancing Musk

……… and I feel fine. (Faded Old Glory Hangin’ like a Rag)

Unless you’ve been in a cave in Outer Mongolia for the last few months, you will be aware that the US Presidential election took place on November 5th. Bonfire night, how appropriate.

So who won, I hear you ask as you emerge from said Mongolian cave, tripping over 6 months growth of beard.

Most people seem to think Donald Trump won, but I would like to offer a few alternatives.

Elon Musk? He must get something for investing a reputed $117 million dollars in Trump’s campaign.

Mark Zuckerburg? He now realises that the power of his social media companies is so great he can swing most elections in any way he chooses.

Jeff Bezos? See above but substitute media companies for social media.

Vladimir Putin? He now knows that by using all of the above he can swing most elections in a direction he favours.

Some bunch of quasi-Christian nut jobs? You could almost think that they and Trump saw or read The Handmaid’s Tale and thought, “Hey, now that’s a good idea!”

Nigel Farage?……………………………………. No

Soz. Can’t find a decent live version of Defenders of the flag.

  • Autumn 3 or Winter 1?

All the leaves have gone from the horse chestnut tree at Lytham Hall. It will be interesting to see what happens next year. Was it the weather or some disease which caused the leaves to fall of in clumps? Cold today, but Lytham Hall still looks lovely, although I wouldn’t like to pay for the…

  • Autumn on the way

After a day of grey skies and rain yesterday, this morning the sun shone and the sky was blue. I’m keeping my eye on the chestnut tree at the side of Lytham Hall and waiting for it to show its full autumn glory, so there may be more pictures similar to these.
