When you come to the end of the road

OK, I admit I’m a bit of a politics nerd. We have a subscription to The Guardian and a subscription to The Times and I usually read John Crace’s diary piece in The Guardian on Prime Minister’s Questions and sometimes Tom Peck’s sketch in The Times.

For those who are unaware, the centrepiece of PMQs is the leader of the opposition getting to put 6 questions of their own choosing to the Prime Minister, the idea being to embarass, stump or otherwise make the Prime Minister look stupid, incompetent or both.

Usually the 2 newspapers mentioned give reports totally different to eachother as they support, generally, 2 different parties. However this week they were in total agreement regarding the performance of the Leader of the Opposition. See the 2 links below for a good read and a better laugh. I particularly liked the reference to Felix and Sylvester in The Times, but perhaps that’s just my age. The question that occurred to me was, has The Times published this scathing attack on Kemi Badenoch because they have been told that she’s for the chop? (Sorry, I’ve just got to Anne Boleyn’s execution in Bringing Up The Bodies)
