Grandson Climbs a Mountain

Mummy and Daddy took me up to The Lake District at the weekend and we climbed another mountain. This one was by the side of a big lake and there was a huge waterfall on the way up. There were stairs so you could go down to the bottom of the falls.

The path up the mountain follows the river for a while and then you go up to the top. I’m sure that Nana and Grandad would have liked this but they both say that their knees are going wonky. They say that they both hurt when coming down, which sounds a bit strange. Also Grandad keeps saying, “It’s my medication!” I don’t really understand old people.

Anyway, on Friday Mummy and Daddy are going out to see a lady singing in a field in Lytham. I’m staying with Nana and Grandad and we’re having a pizza night. I hope Grandad doesn’t start drinking that red pop of his. Last time he fell asleep and snored through the film.

Next Sunday all the family are meeting up for a meal to celebrate cousin Nick’s birthday. He’s 23! I’m really looking forward to it. I mustn’t fall for the “What’s that on your shirt” trick again!!!!
