Won’t Get Fooled Again!

It has been a fascinating last few days politically with the landslide for Labour in the UK and the turnaround in France with the right wing National Rally being relegated to third place.Could it be that the rise of right wing parties is frightening ‘normal’ people into voting to keep them out?

While I realize that our voting system is largely to blame for this, Reform were supposed to be getting 13 seats on the basis of polls but ended up with 4. National Rally in France were supposed to become the government but failed. Signs of hope?

Now if only America could show some sense with Trump!

  • Back from the Wilds

Just back from a weekend in North Wales with good mates from Southport. No phone signal. No wifi. I didn’t see any news from Thursday lunchtime till Sunday evening and it was bliss. We stayed near Beddgelert which is one of my favourite places in Britain. Surrounded by lakes, mountains, waterfalls, it really is beautiful…
